Hi, my name is Matúš.
I know very well what it means to be sick. I have spent several years battling severe health problems which prevented me from living any kind of a normal life. I was barely surviving, bedbound for a long time, experiencing debilitating symptoms with no end in sight. Yet, at the same time, I was not able to get any help from the standard medical system.
Do you know the frustration after visiting many doctors and still having no answers? They have no clue and are possibly even downplaying your symptoms, trying to persuade you that it must be all just in your head? That you just need to rest a bit, you are too young to be sick, your test results are OK, therefore you must be OK and you should just visit a psychologist or straight a psychiatrist? Are you dealing with various health problems, but nobody is able to connect the dots? Yet you know there has to be more to it?
I know all of it really well. After my vast experience with the common healthcare system being useless and having even been dangerously mistreated, I had no other choice than to get better on my own. After a lot of research, effort and many setbacks, I managed to bring myself back to life. During my healing journey, I acquired a wealth of knowledge about how our bodies actually work and how it is possible to get better, often in ways that most doctors have unfortunately still no clue of. To find a way back to health, I have been forced to weed out all the information noise - and find out what is actually useful. My medical education background has been the foundation I have built upon further and further during my struggle with ill health.
For the last couple of years, I have spent endless hours reading medical literature, communicating with people having anything worthwhile to say about healing and searching for any useful insights that can help people struggling with dysbiosis and ill health in general. All of that was done with the most pressing and unrelenting motivation - to finally feel better and bring myself back to life.
I am deeply interested in ways of true healing of our health troubles, especially regarding human microbiome and correcting gut dysbiosis, as well as in all the related topics and in seeing our health in the BIG picture.
Areas of my knowledge and interest
Human gut microbiome
The gut microbiome influences our whole body, our whole functioning, how we feel, sleep, look, what we eat and even what do we think. A healthy microbiome is a must for a good health, both physical and mental. Trying to treat a person paying attention only to superficial manifestations of disease, without taking into account the condition of their gut is at best a questionable, workaround solution, at worst a terrible mistake with potentially tragic consequences. I am deeply interested in all the implications the gut microbiome has for our health and how it completely changes the ways of how our health problems can be understood and treated.
Fixing gut problems and correcting gut dysbiosis
I know very well how stubborn gut problems can be. At the same time I know, however impossible it can sometimes seem, that they can be helped. But one has to get rid of all dubious, generic, ill-based or superficial approaches and ideas and to focus on what really has true potential to make a meaningful positive change.
Understanding of interconnections within a human body
The pathological processes don't appear "just like that" and don't just happen in an isolated spot in our bodies. The mechanistic thinking, isolating pathological processes and seeing things out of context, which the common medical practice tends to be guilty of is a thing of the past.
On even higher level, our bodies and minds are interconnected and can't be separated. We are in fact a whole ecosystem. Our physical health - and especially gut health and healthy microbiome is the basis for our wellbeing and influences our mental health. And it goes the other way around as well.
Health and microbiome tests
I know how to make sense of all the countless diagnostic tests and their parameters. What is actually useful for healing and what just a waste of money, time and your energy?
Supplements, herbs, vitamins
I have tried - so to speak - all possible and even more, I have a vast knowledge about what, when, how, why and if to take.
Diet optimalization and individualization
Food shall be thy medicine. It's really as simple (or complicated?) as that!
Innovative, forward-thinking and integrative healing methods
